I have been a licensed physical therapist for 18 years. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Health Science and my Masters in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT in 2002. I also graduated from Nova Southeastern University with my PhD in Physical Therapy in 2019. In addition, I have completed my 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certification as well as my certification in Holistic Nutrition. I also have advanced training in Craniosacral Therapy and Dry Needling. I have treated patients in a variety of settings including acute care, pediatrics, homecare, and out-patient orthopedics. I currently serve on faculty as an Assistant Professor for Texas Woman's University in Houston, Texas, where I teach in the areas of Psychosocial Aspects of Rehabilitation, Professional Practice Management, and Clinical Education.
I am the wife of my high school sweetheart, a veteran of the USAR, who proudly served 2 tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Our 20 years of marriage has blessed us with 5 children. We are parents to both biological and adopted children, as well as to a child with special needs. We are also host parents to an amazing Au Pair from Brazil who ha been with us for over a year now.
We are huge hockey fans, love to spend time outdoors, and LOVE living in the south! (we are originally northerners!)
My goal has always been to move my own personal clinical practice to one which encompasses the individual as a whole. I believe deeply in the power of movement, food as medicine, meditation, and education. And, I am honored to share in your journey to wellness.
